Every brain has differences in the number of neurons it possesses and how they are wired together within the brain network. Studies have shown that although we all share a common structure of one third of our brains, the other two thirds are entirely unique to the individual and these differences create the nuances in our personalities but can also be the cause mental illness.
In understanding how the brain is structured, it is possible to create machines that mirror our own internal processes in order to drive efficiency and capability. Indeed, these new technologies have motivated the start of data-driven computational models for the brain activities in order to investigate and deeply understand its mystery. In doing so, the concept of “Digitalising” has emerged, the study of how to relate the structural and functional aspects of the brain to performing tasks.
